It is our passion to help women and mothers help them find themselves again and live their lives authentically while truly valuing themselves.

In person appointments at our Avon and Chardon offices as well are virtual appointments are available.

We specialize in women's mental health and perinatal mental health including anxiety, depression, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression/anxiety. life transitions, parenting, motherhood, obsessive compulsive issues, and relationship issues.

What will sessions be like?

During the initial session we will be asking questions about your biopsychosocial history such as previous mental health issues, presenting issues, physical health, core relationships, and current symptoms of distress. You may refuse to answer any questions. At our second session we will present a treatment plan that will be our road map in therapy. You can agree or disagree with the treatment plan and we will work together to ensure that it is it to your approval.  Sessions following will address symptoms with education and interventions guided by our treatment goals while building our relationship and allowing you to process current concerns. It is of upmost importance to us that you feel safe, comfortable, and empowered in the counseling process.

How long do sessions last?

The initial assessment session may run to 90 minutes in length to be able to obtain enough information to provide a quality evaluation. Regular sessions are 60 minutes in length.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently are in network with Medical Mutual and Cigna Insurances. If you have a different insurance plan may be eligible through your insurance company to be reimbursed for services through out of network benefits. Your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of my service or in full after I provide you a "superbill." It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the status of your out of network benefits prior to beginning services. I am happy to speak with you about specific questions you may need to inquire to your insurance company. You may also be able to pay for services with your Health Savings Account (HSA).

Payment or co-payments can be made via credit card, cash or check. You may use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexibile Spending Account (FSA) to make payments. We provide receipt or complete appropriate paperwork if you will be using an HSA/FSA account.

Are you culturally competent?

Yes. As both social workers and counselors  we believe it is our ethical obligation to offer services that are inclusive to  all and to be aware of how one's mental health may be impacted by systems of discrimination, inequality, and oppression. We also believe firmly that I am on a continued journey of understanding privilege and power and as such remain open to learning. We also believe that the client is the expert on how their cultural identity impacts their sense of self and how they make decisions in their own lives.

What are your fees for services?

The initial assessment session fee (90 minutes) is $140. After this initial session 60 minute individual counseling sessions are $125/session. Parent-child connection sessions are 45 minutes in length and $75. Cancellations of appointments must be made 24 hours in advance. No show appointments will incur a $50 fee.
